Like most other principals we've spoken with, North Rockland High's Dr. Michael Gill has a passion for the students at his school - not only the daily the interactions, but the ability to touch, and affect, so many young lives.
Gill, who resides in Garnerville with wife Colleen, and daughters Emily (freshman) and Julia (a seventh-grader), grew up in Valley Cottage, attending Albertus Magnus High School.
He went on to attend Rockland Community College, Binghamton U, and got his education doctorate at Fordham.
"Getting my doctorate from Fordham when I was 34, I'm very proud of that," Gill told Daily Voice. "I was 35 when I became Principal here, that was a real accomplishment for me."
Gill has been in his position at North Rockland for 10 years, and spent five years as Principal at West Haverstraw Elementary prior.
Watch the video to see an interview where Gill talks about what is special about North Rockland High School, academic programs at the school, what he loves about his work, and more.
